Lorelai Charlotte
Born 27 January 2010
3.34kg and 49cm
This little girl has grown so fast and each day she does something completly new.
When she was 3 months old she was tkaen up in hospital with a very bad stomach bug that she apparently had from birth but was mistaken for being lactose intolerant. 3 days on antibiotics and my child was perfectly fine.
She gave us her first roll over at 2 months.
Crawling happend at 4.5 months of age. I expected this to happen much later – or actually wished it will happen much later but no.
At 6 months she was stanfing up against everything and walking next to things. A few little steps. We were convinced that this child will walk by 10 months latest.
8.5 months exactly 4 months after crawling she started walking. Imagine those short little legs walking.
When it comes to climbing stairs she did not crawl backwords like normal children no matter how hard we tried to teach her. She would sit, swing her legs to the front and then plop down to the next step. SHe fell down the stairs (maybe 2) when she was 10 months old from trying to walk down.
Her first word I cannot even remember as I’m typing this, will have to go back and check the blog. lol but I know “mamma” did not even make the top 5.
She talks a mile a minute and every day she learns a new word.
She loves books and drawing, but I think that comes with having an older sibling.
At this stage (17months) she refuses to be fed, I started BLW (Baby Led Weaning) when she was 5 months old and now if I try and feed her anything it is a tantrum of note, so I basicly get to sit and watch how she messes and then clean it up.

Hi there! Just found your blog, I’m sure I’ll love it! My little girl is a day older than your Lorelai, and she is just the same when it comes to eating! Very independant
. Your girls look lovely.
Welcome Sue
I really do hope you will love it here is scary land…
Tell me more about your little girl? Do you blog?
Thanks
My little girl is Katy (Katherine Isobel) and she is our miracle after 10 years of infertlity, an adoption loss and 4 IVF’s. She’s reaching her milestones at about an average rate, nowhere nearly as quickly as Lorelai
but sounds just about as independant. Gets very frustrated when she can’t do what she’s trying to, like putting on her own shoes etc – typical toddler I think! Loves to play in sandpits or dirt in general
No I’m not a blogger, I’m not very good at putting my thoughts and feelings into words! I’m a part-time bookkeeper from home, Katy goes to nursery school in the morning and she’s home with me in the afternoon. Sometimes that can be very stressful, trying to keep her occupied, but I count my blessings that I’m able to have the best of both worlds.
Look forward to following your story, hope that your house comes on well and without too many delays!
Kathy – My children are freaks but in a good way. LOL
Welcome to my world… Im also not really a blogger – in the beginning I sucked – Most days I still do – but being honest and your true self helps.
Love your daughters names. Send me a pic – Would love to have a face to the name… scaredmomsblog@gmail.com
